COVID-19: Your safety is our priority. Amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, we are doing our part to keep our clients and team members safe and healthy. We are still open and accepting new cases everyday. However, during this time we will not be accepting drop offs and pickups from any of our Firm locations. The wheels of justice are still moving, but you can stay home while we fight for you.
An attorney’s role in a real estate transaction is pivotal to a smooth transaction
Initially, the attorney is responsible to negotiate the terms of the agreement of sale with the other attorney so as to keep in mind the best interest of their client as the buyer or the seller
After the agreement is agreed upon by both parties, the attorney is then responsible for drafting the transfer documents. This includes the deed, affidavit of title, mortgage note – things of that nature
The attorney is responsible for representing you at the closing after the documents are drafted
The closing can often be daunting due to the complexities of the documents needed to be signed
The attorney will provide clarity in explaining certain thing at the closing table. If you have any questions in that regard, contact an experienced real estate attorney to represent you at your next real estate closing
